This past weekend was Christmas at
Gramma's house! Sister and I took Friday off and drove up to help
Gramma finish shopping and wrapping her gifts. We tried to get there early, but by the time we made our many stops, it was about dinnertime before we made it.

We drove into town, went to a few stores and then came back to wrap. Actually, Beth wrapped while I worked on our Christmas cards. I fell asleep around 10:30 p.m., but Beth wrapped 'til after midnight. She said that every time she thought they were finished,
Gramma found another package. The packages were BEAUTIFUL - you know, Beth used to wrap at
Tapp's and can wrap a gift like no one's business. Just don't try to give her Dollar Store wrap or shiny no-name tape!

The weekend was really rather uneventful. The gift of the weekend was the weather radio my aunt gave my dad. He and my uncle were mesmerized by it and missed seeing everyone else open their gifts. But if there comes a bad storm and the power goes out, you can call Dad for the weather updates. I hope someone got one for my Uncle Jim. You would've thought it was a million dollars!
Here is Beth getting a gift - I love how the box was labeled: FUD. I wonder what that means?

The other excitement was the dog that took up at Gramma's. Oh, it may've helped that Uncle Jim and Dad were feeding him sausage from the snack table. We all had a ball playing with the dog, and named him "Good Dog." Gramma, who once had the misfortune of having a stray dog get inside her utility room and use it for a bathroom, came running out with a broom as soon as she got wind of the dog thing. It appeared to be a neighbor's dog, though, so all should be okay.

Oh, and look what we found in town - my new car! Conveniently painted "Prince Purple."

FUD = First Up at Dawn (Or NOT. Beth is ALWAYS the one dragging in to our Starchicks gatherings!)
Prince Purple. Did he get out wearing full makeup and heels? Yes? I thought so.
That dog is just ignunt. I love the broom story. That's classic family right there.
We did not see the Princely one who drove that sparkly Element! You should've seen us trying to nonchalantly get the photo before he or she came out! Ha!
