Shout It, Shout It, Shout It Out Loud

Okay, if you are under the age of 40, that post title means nothing to you. Everyone else, help me - what was the song and who sang it??? Kiss?? (You know, they're making a comeback! I even saw Kiss perfume at Belk recently!)

It has come to my attention that only a couple of you are posting comments to my blog. I know you are reading it because we're talking about it, but I need some feedback. You remember - I need to prove Beth wrong that no one is reading it. And unless you post a comment every now and then, I can't prove to her that you are!

Now, I KNOW that this blog is the first thing you read in the morning and the last thing you check before you go to bed, and I know that you aren't unopinionated peeps, so it occurs to me that maybe I need to do a "Post Comments 101" primer. After all, it wasn't that long ago that I had to figure out how to post comments on Roxanne's blog. So here goes. Roxanne, my Blogger mentor, please let me know if I've missed a step or need to add anything!

  1. At the end of each posting of mine is Posted by Winstons Girl and a Time, followed by a number and the word comments. Click on the # comments to get to the post a comment screen.
  2. Type in your comment. Then move down to "Choose an identity." If you have a Google account, I think it automatically chooses that option, but you can change it. If not, click the Other or Anonymous button. If you click other, you can enter a name; anonymous will list you as just that. Then click Publish Your Comment.
  3. It won't show automatically because I have enacted comment moderation, so no crackheads can randomly post obscene comments on my blog. I'll get an e-mail saying you posted a comment, and I click a button to approve. (And, of course, I'll approve posts from anyone I know!)

Now you know, you can no longer say "No comment!" Say anything - if you think a posting is lame, tell me. Have a funny or related story about your day? Add it! Am I getting on your nerves asking for comments? Shout it from the posts! Ideas for posts? Well, you get the idea!

A treat for reading to the end of this post! Shout It Out Loud was released by Kiss on March 1, 1976 (I was not even 10 years old - how do I remember the refrain so well????) and reached #31 on the US Hot 100. I relived a few years of my life reading their discography, especially the songs from 1975-1979. I'm going to have to buy a Kiss Greatest Hits CD tomorrow!
