Gramma joined Beth and I at Starbucks this morning. She had a ball. We thought she'd bond with Bob, but it turns out that Butch is from some place in NC that she is familiar with - Scotland Neck? - and they spent quite some time swapping stories! After a strong cup of coffee, Gramma started talking - we heard about two of her boyfriends before Grandpa and the time Grandpa spent an hour or two in the pokey for speeding - in Scotland Neck of all places. Something about them holding him until they could find a judge and Mom and her sister crying and praying in the back of the car. It was hilarious. Anyway, Gramma is hooked. She's meeting one of her Columbia friends at Starbucks on the way out of town on Tuesday, now that she's a Starchick and all, she says.
Nasty, rainy day. I'd planned to spend some time shopping and running errands, but I cut them short. The rain was coming down SO hard. I'm going to go out EARLY tomorrow a.m. to avoid the crowds and try to be home by noon. I've actually finished shopping, but have a few returns to make and errands to run.
Speaking of shopping, I'm dying to share some special gifts I've bought and made, but again, since some of you will be getting them, I can't. I know, I know, you can't wait!

I was SO SLACK this year with my Christmas shopping!! I normally procrastinate, but this year I procrastinated beyond belief. For shame, Rox. For shame!
