James Brown Land??

I DON'T feel good.

For those who didn't see this article in The State on Saturday, please click and read so we can discuss.

Would anyone actually go? I know James Brown was great at one time, but a couple of years ago, he couldn't even sell 5,000 tickets to a concert that he did here in SC. And would a museum include the car(s) he used to run from the law on those many occasions?

I dunno; I think they should bury him and just let him rest in peace...

What you don't understand is the stratospheric popularity of James Brown in Europe. Brown routinely sold out 50,000 seat stadiums as recently as the 1990s. The French particularly find Brown to be among the greats. Frech associate Brown with quintesential American culture. Brown sold out 70,000 seats in Rome in the late 1990s. He is huge overseas and no doubt would attract people to this like people are attracted to Graceland from Japan.

Wow! Then Beech Island is set to become a booming metropolis! Imagine what this will do for economic development! Airports, hotels, restaurants - maybe even French ones. Call Joe Taylor. How can I invest?

RIIIIIGHT!!!!!! Believe it when I see it.
