I spent the morning at the conference, while Sister packed. I snapped this picture at the conference center - I'd been admiring them all week.

Packed and ready to go!

For those of you who know me, you know how much I've wanted to visit The Andy Warhol Museum, and today was the day! I have to say that I was a little disappointed; there wasn't as much of his work as I'd hoped. But it was neat.

This was a storefront we saw by The Andy Warhol Museum. We still need to check out the Web sites. Love that picture of Sister - that face she's making reminds me of one of the characters from Beavis and Butthead.

After The Andy Warhol Museum, we headed to Newell, West Virginia, home of Homer Laughlin China Company, aka FIESTAWARE.

On the way, we saw the world's largest teapot. (Folks, you don't see stuff like this when you take a plane!)

All I can say about the Fiestaware stop is that it was worth the entire trip. We missed the last tour of the plant, but we had plenty of time to shop! There was a retail outlet, which included a huge section of "seconds." We spent lots of time at the Fiestaware outlet and brought home plenty of stuff. I only wish we'd bought more, but we were limited by what we could fit in the car.

One of the coolest things at the Fiestaware stop was their "landfill" of broken china. Too bad all landfills aren't this colorful!

On the way to and from Newell, we passed the bridge to East Liverpool, Ohio, home of Lou Holtz. They actually had a Lou Holtz Museum, but we didn't stop.

We did stop for Shorty's, though. Mom's nickname in high school was Shorty, and we couldn't resist this photo.

After a full day, we drove about halfway home and stopped for the night in Beckley, West Virginia.
