A Tease

Tomorrow night, I will upload "behind the scenes" at Runaway Runway, but for now, I'll share one of the best ones: Lady Chablis loving her some Keeping Tab earrings!! The drag queen market could open up for me overnight!

Our Beautiful Irises

These beautiful irises seem to surprise us every year! They're in the front yard, tucked in between the azaleas. LOVE 'em!

Earth Day Week

Survived to Day Two of Earth Day week. Yesterday, I had to prepare for a news conference, attend stimulus meeting and prepare for Missy's baby "celebration."

Today, I'm up and have already made two Palmetto Tree lamps for speaker gifts for an event tomorrow. I have Appearance Commission at 8 a.m. and a news conference at 11:30 a.m. - baby celebration 4:30 to 6 p.m. I also need to make earrings this evening to sell at Friday's Runaway Runway.

But tomorrow is the biggie - up and out (dressed and presentable) by 4 a.m. to meet WIS-TV at the Public Works Facility. We're doing the Live Shots for Earth Day! And then it's off to Sonoco for a CPAC/Sonoco Earth Day Forum! Luckily, I'll get to go home afterwards!

So, know that the lack of blogging is coming honest to me this week! LOL!

Hee hee!

Pikachu, on Winston's bed - and with Winston's Cliffy!

Winston - same place, same toy - a couple days before!

A Sassified Winnie

Here is sweet Winnie, sleeping on top of his Miyo's go box - formerly filled with "brocci" - and with his Cliffy in his arms. He's like Linus with his blanket with that Cliffy!

MP's DIY

Before: An old dresser that Gramma gave me when she moved to SC, nearly a year ago. It has been in the garage until today.

Almost After: Painted silver, new knobs and bejeweled. The glue dries clear, but is still a little white, hence the ALMOST after. But since I'm getting ready to put my stuff on it, I wanted to get a picture of it CLEAN.

Jane's A Gramma!

Welcome to Joseph Hiller, Jane's new grandson!

Random Regards to Roxanne

Just a few random ramblings:

Tomorrow is Sister's birthday!

My feet are FREEZING.

Friday's Good Friday holiday/furlough day will be the first weekday day off I've had in over four months. I can't wait. Still two months to go before I get real annual leave.

My fave new product is Benefit's Erase Paste, a great creamy concealer. Best undereye concealer I've ever used. Seriously. Second only to Smashbox cream eyeliner in Putty.

I'm very glad the Idol contestants are doing songs I actually know, and I'm happy to see Adam's hair is back to "normal." (Wayne says that Adam's hair is the male version of my cut. Minus the goth color, of course.)

I have WAAAAAY to much stuff in my room and need to do some serious paring down. Perhaps a Friday task?!

Oops, dogs are barking - it's getting COLD out there! Ta ta for the night!

Sunday Sister Fun

We started the day early at the GCOC Agility Trials. We saw lots of dogs running the courses, even some Rottweillers and Labs. The only picture we took was this one of Zuny, an Austrailian Shepherd who jumped in the pool when he finished his run.

Then we went to the Flower and Plant Festival at the State Farmers Market. Some neat stuff, including...

A Wall-E sculpture made from old metal components. Junk art is apparently a good living - it was $500.

This flamingo (?) made from plants.

My favorite thing - a steel can "glass." A food vendor was selling old-fashioned, hillbilly sodas, and he served them in old steel cans. People loved them. This would be a neat idea for a cookout or picnic.

Pikachu

I came in from work the other evening and found Pikachu like this in Sister's bed! So THIS is what they do all day - curl up under the covers and sleep! So cute!

Cuuuuute!

Pictures of My Purchases

As promised, here are pictures from my purchases at the Midlands Master Gardeners Symposium.

Look at these fabu wind chimes! I put them up in the backyard so the dogs could enjoy them - and we can see them from the back porch! The last owner left this quirky clothesline in the backyard, and the piece fit perfectly on it. I've included several shots.

This is the basket made from kudzu vines! We have kudzu in between our house and our neighbor's, so it's a Sisters thing.

And this is the moss topiary I bought for Beth. CUTE, huh?

Wait 'Til I Post the Pictures

Today I attended the Midlands Master Gardeners Symposium, and I hit the motherlode!

Imagine these fabu purchases:

1) A kudzu vine basket
2) Window pane chimes
3) A rabbit topiary

It's too nasty to take pictures tonight, but I'll do it this weekend and post. GREAT stuff.

FUN!

Look what fun I got from Sephora today! The lip glosses are in recycled aluminum tubes and are named Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! (You know I had to have those in my purse!!)
